2015 Raleigh RXC Pro Disc Top-End Cyclocross Bike

Raleigh has revamped its full carbon RXC Pro Disc model with a 142x12mm-100x15mm thru-axle set-up it claims improves both handling and braking performance.


Improved mud clearance and a 27.2mm seat post should conspire to improve overall ride experience.
Change did not stop their. The new rig, which will be raced by the U.S.-based Raleigh-Clement racing team and be available starting in July, also boasts a host of frame modifications: reshaped chainstays that avail 7mm more heel clearance to counteract the wider axle spacing; a reshaped BB bridge that provides more tire (and mud) clearance; thinner top tube and seat stays claimed to improve ride quality; and a lower BB height, which should improve handling but will reduce pedal clearance.

Raleigh is now making its own carbon forks. The rear end beefed up thanks to a 142x12mm thru-axle.
Raleigh also made the switch to a 27.2mm seat post for more vertical compliance, and scrapped last model year’s ENVE carbon fork in favor of one built in house and designed to work with the bike’s new thru-axle set-up. Additional enhancements include smoother cable routing, which should reduce drag when shifting front and rear derailleurs.

Clement tires wrapped around American Classic tubeless-ready wheels complete the new package.
Exact pricing is not set yet, but Raleigh says to expect the top end model to come in around $5,000 and be spec’d with tubeless ready American Classic wheels and a Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting and Shimano R785 hydraulic disc brakes.
