Raleigh’s 2014 Revenio 1 focuses on the rider without sacrificing anything on the race.
When it comes to endurance riding, comfort is the name of the game. After all, a good road bike can only go as far as the rider on top of it, and even the best riders can get worn out quickly if their bike isn’t right for them. The folks at Raleigh understand this, and the 2014 Raleigh Revenio 1 was designed with comfort in mind. One of the first things that they did while updating the Revenio was slacken the angle of the Alloy Micro Adjust 20mm offset seatpost, shifting back the rider’s center of gravity. This leads to less strain all over the body and allows the rider to spend less time wondering how comfortable they’re going to be and more time enjoying the ride. Perched on top of this redesigned seatpost is the patented Raleigh Road saddle, providing enough cushion to keep you on your bike and out on the road. Apart from just the seat, the 2014 Revenio frame has received a significant amount of tweaking as well.
This year’s AL-6061 hydroformed frame with butted tubing is marketed with “updated seat stays, top and down tubes, and increased stiffness in the right spots”. Cyclists will be pleased to note that all these modifications have led to a frame with a significantly less overall weight than previous models. And because steering is key to a road bike’s performance, the ergonomic Raleigh 100 Series 31.8 Short Drop Road handlebar ensures that optimal control is well within reach.
Casual riders will be thrilled with all that Raleigh has done to improve comfort and rideability on the 2014 Revenio 1. But the more dedicated enthusiasts will want to make sure that they can still get the same speed and performance out of their Revenio 1. Long story short, they can. This dedication to quality is most evident in the custom Chromoly Road all-carbon Monocoque fork. This helps the Revenio increase handling, and the standard 50mm offset is guaranteed to work with the frame’s modified geometry to achieve the results you crave.

And because Raleigh knows that one of the most important parts of a bicycle is what connects it to the road, the 2014 Revenio 1 features high quality Vittoria Zaffiro Slick 700x25c tires mounted on 23mm wide Weinmann GMAX Double Wall rims. After all, a road bike is nothing without a good set of wheels, and with the Revenio 1, riders will be able to feel the extra effort that goes into everything Raleigh does.
Comfort, speed, and performance. The mainstays of any quality road bike, and the most important values to the Raleigh engineers. So whether you need a fun vehicle for your casual rides or the ability to stay on your seat for hours at a time, the 2014 Raleigh Revenio 1 is perfect for you.
