Custom Build: Salsa Colassal (Chris King, ENVE, Paul, Soma, & more components!)

A recent custom build from our service department resulted in a modern but comfortable all-day adventure road bike! We started with a Salsa Colossal steel frame and ENVE carbon fork. A Chris King headset provides smooth and predictable steering.

The wheels feature the Legendary Chris King hubs, Sapim CX-Ray spokes, Sapim Polyax alloy nipples, and HED Belgium rims. The wheels were hand-built by local wheel builder and shop affiliate Calvin Stiles of NoGas Wheels

The drivetrain consists of Shimano 105 11 speed shifters, derailleurs, and cassette, 11 speed Ultegra crank, and a nice KMC chain.

The superb Paul Component Engineering Klamper brakes and SRAM Centerline rotors bring this bike to a stop quickly when needed.

Thanks to the steel frame, tubular cased Soma Supple Vitesse EX tires, and the Lizard Skins DSP bar tape, this bike will keep you comfortable on short spirited rides as well as all day adventures!

Stop by the shop for a test ride. This bike is for sale - call for pricing.
